Departing from Zurich

Zurich, the economic and cultural capital of Switzerland, is the ideal starting point for exploring the country's Alpine wonders. With an exceptional rail network, Zurich's central station — the Hauptbahnhof — is one of the busiest in Europe and offers direct connections to every major Swiss tourist destination. Departing from Zurich allows you to maximize your exploration time while enjoying the comfort and legendary efficiency of Swiss transport. Our team warmly welcomes you at the meeting point to begin your adventure in the best possible conditions.

Why depart from Zurich?

Zurich is the strategic choice for travelers arriving in Switzerland. Zurich-Kloten International Airport, the largest in the country, is connected to the central station in just 10 minutes by train. From there, one of the world's densest and most punctual rail networks connects you to every corner of Switzerland. By choosing Zurich as your starting point, you gain access to our 12 tours covering the Alps, lakes and the country's most iconic cities — often in less than 2 hours of travel time.

Popular tours from Zurich

From Zurich, our most popular excursions include the Jungfraujoch day trip (Top of Europe, full day), the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein tour, Mount Titlis with its revolving cable car, the guided old town Zurich city tour, and the cheese and chocolate tasting at the Lindt factory. Each tour departs early morning from the central station and returns by late afternoon.

Meeting point

Access and transport

Zurich Hauptbahnhof is directly served by tram lines 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 17, as well as S-Bahn lines S2, S3, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S10, S12, S14, S16 and S24. From Zurich-Kloten Airport, the direct Airport Express train reaches the central station in 10 minutes. City buses also serve the station via the Bahnhofstrasse.

Parking

Several covered car parks are available in the immediate vicinity of the station, including the Hauptbahnhof Parking (entrance on Sihlquai), the Jelmoli Parking and the Urania Parking.
